YOUR CHILD MAY NOT GO TO HOCKEY:
- If your child has any symptoms of COVID-19
- If your child travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days
- If your child has been in close physical contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days. Please note, close physical contact means:
- Living in the same home
- Being less than 2 metres away in the same room or area from another person
- If your child’s household contacts (family members and/or roommates) or other contacts outside of school/child care presented with new COVID-19 symptoms (like a cough, fever, or difficulty breathing) in the last 14 days
- If your child feels ill
- If your child is pending results of Covid-19 Testing
- If your child has been identified as a “high-risk contact” – identified by Ottawa Public Health
- If your child has been exposed to someone in your family/circle with symptoms (not confirmed Covid-19): isolate until they are tested and results are negative
- If a family member is waiting for Covid test results
- If your child tested positive for Covid-19: follow Ottawa Public Health guidelines.
Ottawa Public Health has developed a useful screening tool for schools (click here). If you cannot go to school – you CANNOT go to hockey. The same rules apply. It is updated often to be the most accurate.
