Reminder that any member wanting to bring forth a motion is free to do so, but it needs to be sent to the Board Secretary minimum 72 hrs prior to the AGM along with a general description of the item.  As well the motion is required to be moved and approved by 2 different members (in good Standing) other then the individual proposing the motion.

Additional motions to be discussed:

Motion brought forth by Martin Launiere on 21 Sep 2023

Motion - To nominate Mr Gerald Gosselin (Past GCGH President) as the Chairman for this years AGM.

Reasoning - According to the current Bylaws article 10.07, the chairman of the AGM is to be the corporation's president.  However,  for this years AGM it would be best that a non member be allowed to oversee the AGM to ensure the order is kept and an efficient AGM is carried out.  The member being proposed is the past-president of the GCGH and is selected due to their knowledge, understanding and proceedings of the corporation.

First - Marlo MacDonald

Second - John Bower

Motion Accepted to the AGM

Motion brought forth by Guy Lagace on 24 Sep 2023

Motion - To leave By-law 2 Article 3.03 c as is to a maximum of 6yrs.

Reasoning - It is in the best interest of the association and allows for new people on the board more often for a shared view.

First - Karynn Lachance

Second - Alain Guertin

Motion Accepted to the AGM

Motion brought forth by Guy Lagace on 24 Sep 2023

Motion - To leave By-law 2 Article 5.05 c as written such that anybody who has served one year past or current can serve as president.

Reasoning - It is in the best interest of the association and allows for more board members to fill in the president job

First - Karynn Lachance

Second - Alain Guertin

Motion Accepted to the AGM

Motion brought forth by Guy Lagace on 24 Sep 2023

Motion - To add in the policy that no board member or board member spouse can fill a head coach position.

Reasoning - There is a conflict of interest, open more members opportunity to hold GCGH position (board member or head coach) and it’s more transparent.

First - Karynn Lachance

Second - Alain Guertin

Motion Accepted to the AGM
