EO STARS PLAYER 2 COACH INITIATIVE - FEMALE COACHES WANTED

The East Ottawa Stars High-performance program in collaboration with the Gloucester Cumberland Girls Hockey Association is launching a new program designed to increase the number of women in coaching positions within its association.
With a focus on training, mentoring and empowering women behind the bench, the mentorship program is about strengthening and positively impacting the women’s game.
This recruitment and retention initiative is built on the core idea that good things happen when girls get in the game.
Self-confidence, health, social connections, and academic performance all improve when girls get on the ice.
We are actively looking for high performance female players who would like to start giving back.
What’s the commitment? Depending on availability, it can be as an assistant coach or as an on-ice helper.
How does it work? Get the coaching certification and the mentorship in order to eventually take on leadership roles within the association.
When does this start? Immediately.
